I’m Back!

And I am utterly ashamed to say that I haven’t had a good tiring workout in 3 months.

YIKES!! I know…

But I just had a very eye-opening workout this morning and I am definitely back on the ‘live a healthier lifestyle’ bandwagon.

This go ‘round, I’m going to attempt documenting my journey in a serious of candid vlogs.

It’ll be difficult, but I know that I can get myself back on track because I know how ‘on top of the world’ it felt when I was on track.

See you on the other side, guys! ^^

piecesinprogress:

This post is for anyone who is just starting their journey to get healthy. I’ve been getting questions about starting out tips so I thought this visual might help you all! It’s a list of things that I thought about and still do to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The keep in mind section is just a few things that helped me stay motivated when I was first starting out to get me through especially the first month and help me stick with it for the long haul. Along with this you should set your own goals, meal plans, fitness plans, but use this as a guide to help you start healthy habits that will always be good for you!

The second picture is a sample printable weekly chart, you can use this (put it on your motivation board!) or make your own using this as a template. :)

Moment of Truth…..::drumroll::

Before and After photos:

So I’ve been working out for roughly 2 months now….admittedly, off and on—at least these past two weeks.

I’ve been so stressed, anxious, excited, ill (had a chest cold), and honestly sometimes unmotivated. BUT, no matter what, I did SOMETHING. I moved. At the very least, I walked.

So, without further ado…my Before’s:

Now the After’s:

Please excuse the facial mask. I just finished working out and I always put a tea tree oil mask on afterwards or just wash my face with tea tree oil facial wash because it helps strip all of the sweat and salt FROM sweating. It also ensures that my pores don’t get clogged.

But I do want to say that one thing I’ve noticed, if nothing else is that my skin looks much healthier. It glows! I’m so happy about that. Now if only I could figure out a way to  tone my shoulders and arms. T_T…I really struggle with this and it seems like despite doing pushups every effing day, nothing really happens. If anyone has tips, by all means, let a sista know! >_<

All right!

Until next time! ^_^.

The Little Engine that Could

I’m still in the game, folks!

Just been a bit busy and pre-occupied. :D

As a result, I’ve had to cut down working out to 4 gun-ho sessions a week, which I’m actually loving.

Before, when I only had one rest day a week, I felt like I had to kick myself in the ass nearly every day to get up and push myself. Now, I’m like, I have three days to recoup so there’s no excuse not to give it my all.

Now, I’ve just gotta get back into eating the right things at least 85% of the time.

When my bf came to visit me here in Seoul, I definitely slacked off a bit.

I mean, we worked out together, but fried chicken and beer was NOT even close to what we should’ve been shoveling down our throats.

Anywhoo, the past is in the past and now I’m focusing on getting completely back on track.

Before and Afters are still coming. Just need to take the photos. I may have time to knock em out tomorrow. :D

Spreading the Healthy & Fit Bug

My boyfriend’s here in South Korea all the way from Michigan and after a full day of walking and showing him Seoul, we came back and worked out together! I kicked his butt and it was freaking awesome! >_<

We knocked out 20 sets of hardcore interval training without any breaks….45 second intervals a piece.

We’re going to keep up this routine until he leaves in 10 days and then I’m on my own (and he’s on his own too). I don’t think he wants to loose to me, so he’ll keep it up. Haha

BUT, at least we’re both getting ourselves on a better track and I’m happy that we’re doing it together. ^_^.

I’m Back!! >_<

Okay so admittedly, I took a mini break to partake in Mud Fest (Boryeong, South Korea) this weekend.

But really, I did so much running and walking around that it almost counted as me being on track except for the pizza and drinks I had.

Besides, I think it’s alright to let loose every once in a while. Right? Riiighhh? ^_^.

BUT, I’m back on track and back to my workout schedule.

I just finished some intense interval training and instead of pushing myself for 45 seconds and taking a 10 second break, I’ve up’d the ante again. I’m still doing 45 second intervals, but without the 10 second break.

The difference in effectiveness/muscle fatigue/heart rate is ridiculous. I feel every interval times 2. T_T.

Then again, I believe that’s the point. lol!

Alright, now I’ve just got to get my eating habits back on track. I’ve been craving refined sugar like it’s the fountain of youth. Yes, I’m ashamed.

The good news is I’ve found these dried mango pieces at Daiso (Korean Dollar Store) that are ridiculously good. They’re 2,000 won a pack (~$2) and the pack only has about 5-6 medium sized pieces, so I’d probably go broke trying to kick my refined sugar habit.

I may give Costco a browse to see if I can find something similar—that or buy the huge $20 pack of Craisins…..Yes it’s that serious. T_T.  Haha

Alrighty, no more sugar-talk.

Until next time!

Nothing Is Impossible: Weight Loss Tricks That Work

health-heaven:

1. Sniff a banana, apple, or peppermint

You might feel silly, but it works. When Dr Alan R. Hirsch of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago tried this with 3,000 volunteers, he found that the more frequently people sniffed, the less hungry they were and the more…

::patiently awaits pictures:: lol

LOL! You are too silly.~ ^_^.

Day 25: Finito!

It’s after 1am and I just finished today’s workout.

My friend, Courtney, had dinner over her house tonight and I didn’t get back to my apartment until about 11:15pm. So after settling in for a bit and doing laundry, I finally got around to working out and just got out of the shower and in bed.

I am sooo freakin’ tired, but it’s a good kind of tired.

I feel like I’ve accomplished something and I’m proud of myself.

Now, if I can get my eating habits back in check, I’ll be golden. :D

Before and After pics coming soon! —Not that there’s a HUGE difference. T_T.

But they’re coming nonetheless. ^_^.

Motivation Plateau: Day 21

Some days, like today, it’s ridiculously hard to get motivated and moving.

I always have that voice in the back of my head saying…Oh, just do that mess tomorrow. Today’ll just be your ‘rest day.’

And it almost got me too, but dammit, if I don’t make this work this time, I never will!

Gotta make working out a routine and until then, I will continue to guilt trip my sometimes lazy behind away from my laptop (and the internet) to sweat, shed some weight (and probably some tears Jillian Michael’s style), and get moving.

So it took me 2hrs to get to that point..T_T…yeah, I know.

But the point is, I got it done!

Day 21 is a wrap!

http://www.tudou.com/listplay/YD1AVhEf-J4/IYwHy-TUXRs.html

Yeah, that was about 15 mins, but that’s better than the 10 mins I started out with. ^_^.

Onwards and upwards!

OMG BLOGILATES IS THE BEST!!! I've been doing her muffintopless and in-n-outs for the past week and I'm on fire. She is legit.

la--douleurexquise

Yeah, I was amazed at how difficult her workouts can be. That Butt Blaster video made me feel like a wuss. Lol!

She does get results though so I’ll stick with it for sure! :D Go us!
